A neighborhood that started as its own city
The neighborhood now called San Marco began as an independent city named South Jacksonville, incorporated in 1907, and voters in both cities approved its annexation into Jacksonville in 1932. Much of the housing dates from that era and the land boom around it: stucco and wood homes built for cross-breezes, with air conditioning added decades later. Those retrofits are where most of the comfort problems we see here start, from undersized returns to ducts squeezed into shallow attics.

Retrofits done right the second time
Many San Marco homes already have central air, but it went in long after the house was built, and it shows: one return for the whole house, supply runs that stop short of the far bedrooms, and ducts sweating in a cramped attic. Fixing those layouts often does more for comfort than a bigger system would.
Where ducts were never practical, ductless heads cool the rooms they serve without opening ceilings, and we place outdoor units where they're out of sight from the street. Newer infill homes get the same care as the rest of the city: maintenance, repairs and correctly sized replacements.

FAQ
San Marco questions
Why is one side of my San Marco house always warmer?
Usually the retrofit layout: long supply runs, a single return or ducts that lose cooling in the attic. We measure airflow room by room before suggesting a fix.
Can you keep the outdoor unit out of sight on a San Marco home?
In most cases, by placing it at the side or rear and routing the line set neatly. We'll show you the options before installing.
Do you work on newer homes in San Marco too?
Yes, including infill homes and townhomes, with the same repairs, maintenance and replacements as anywhere in the city.
